Why People Are So In Love With Matcha
Unlike your typical green tea where you either use a tea bag or an infuser, Matcha is mixed in with your tea. When you do this you are getting all of the nutrients of this tea in your cup. You are drinking in the whole tea leave, not just the nutrients that are steeped out when you infuse most loose leaf teas or use a tea bag. In fact 1 cup of Matcha Green Tea is the equivalent of ten cups of regular green tea. So it is packed with antioxidants which are cancer fighting and just all around great for the body. Refer to my earlier blogs about the health benefits of tea. You will see all of the great benefits of antioxidants for the body.
Matcha also contains caffeine, but it is a lot less caffeine that you would get in an espresso or a cup of say Starbucks coffee. Also it digested into your system much differently than when you drink a cup of coffee. So instead of getting an energy boost with all of the jitters associated with coffee, you get this mellow long lasting sustained energy and focus that last for hours.
